About Me

"Art enables us to find ourselves & lose our selves at the same time."
                              - Thomas Merton

I've always had this huge urge to express myself through creativity. My creative outlet has found its voice through music, dancing, writing, crafting - and of course painting. Through the years I've experimented with pretty much anything I can get my hands on and eventually I've found myself more and more drawn to the art of painting with acrylics.

It started as an experiment with colours, materials, styles and textures, but quite quickly turned into this burning passion for abstract painting. I've come to lean more towards mix media with time, as I constantly look for new ways to challenge myself and expand my knowledges. My work tend to be vibrant and reflect my emotions - I often say I "colour myself complete".

During my time at university friends and colleagues started making requests and soon I found myself painting on demand. During these past few years, painting became a very important way of handling stress, anxiety and processing my emotions when going through hardships. And it continues to be. What started out as a way of expressing myself soon became a dream of making it my profession, with my own website - and of course - my own studio.

Residing in the village Glöte/Lofsdalen since the summer of 2018, near the wilderness and Swedish alps, I create most of my work al fresco.

My plans for 2018/2019 is to keep renovating the old lumber barn on our property and turn it into

a painting studio and open gallery, with the hopes of opening up for visits during the summer of 2019.
